Building consent fees

• Submission: deposit paid upon application (non-refundable)
• Consent issue: additional costs will be invoiced and must be paid prior to issue of consent, including:
  • staff time at hourly charge out rate in excess of deposit (minus system fee)
  • estimated inspection fees
  • levies and development contributions as applicable
• CCC issue:  outstanding costs must be paid prior to issue of CCC, including:
  • additional staff time at hourly charge out rate
  • additional inspection fees

From 1 July 2024, if the value of the building work is less than $65,000 including GST, it will be exempt from paying the building levy.

Currently, the building levy rate is $1.75 including GST per $1,000 of building work value. This rate will not be changed.

Building consents may also incur development contributions.
