Dai Mitchell
My principal place of residence is in the Nelson City Council - At Large area.
My partner and I grew up in the area and our 2 children enjoy living in sunny Nelson.
Over the last 2 years I have been involved in community groups including the Nelson Residents Association where it has become obvious that maintaining important infrastructure while keeping rates low, is the main goal of council.
Transparency and accountability in council discussions and decision making are aspects this council could continue to improve upon, ensuring the technological advances and associated health concerns of 5G, PredatorFree2050, geo- engineering/climate change and smart cities are properly discussed and the precautionary principle acknowledged within council regulatory processes.
If elected I'll continue raising public concerns about councils use of roundup, access to public land and recreation areas and reopening the Maungatapu coachroad and supporting public inquiries into the masonic involvement of subverted public trusts including the Cawthron Park and associated solar observatory and community owned Cawthron Institute.
