Temporary Road Closure - Tipahi Street

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Asphalt & General to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Tipahi Street - between no.30 and no.38

Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 23 September to Saturday 28 September 2024 – starting at 6:00 am on the first day and ending at 6:00 pm on the last day (the road will be closed all day and night during the closure period).

The closure is for installation of a new water connection for a housing development – this requires a full trench excavation across the width of the road.   

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available from each end, but there will be no through access. Delays are likely. No roadside parking will be available within the closure zone. Rubbish and recycling vehicles will have access from each end, and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
